Jesus
is God entering the World as a Man
In
the past God spoke to our forefathers through
the prophets at many times and in various
ways, but in these last days he has spoken
to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir
of all things, and through whom he made the
universe. The Son is the radiance of God's
glory and the exact representation of his
being, sustaining all things by his powerful
word. After he had provided purification
for sins, he sat down at the right hand of
the Majesty in heaven.
Hebrews
1:1-3
For
he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness
and brought us into the kingdom of the Son
he loves, in whom we have redemption, the
forgiveness of sins. He is the image of
the invisible God, the firstborn over
all creation. For by him all things were
created: things in heaven and on earth, visible
and invisible, whether thrones or powers
or rulers or authorities; all things were
created by him and for him.
Colossians
1:13-16
In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning. The Word
became flesh and made his dwelling among
us. We have seen his glory, the glory of
the One and Only, who came from the Father,
full of grace and truth.
John
1:1-2, 14
Jesus said, "I
and the Father are one." Again
the Jews picked up stones to stone him,
but Jesus said to them, "I have shown
you many great miracles from the Father.
For which of these do you stone me?" "We
are not stoning you for any of these," replied
the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you,
a mere man, claim to be God."
John
10:30-33
Jesus
answered, "I am the way and the truth
and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me. If you really knew me,
you would know my Father as well. From now
on, you do know him and have seen him."
Philip said, "Lord,
show us the Father and that will be enough for
us."
Jesus answered: "Don't you know me,
Philip, even after I have been among you
such a long time? Anyone who has seen
me has seen the Father. How can you say,
`Show us the Father'?
John
