Mark grew up in New England and became a follower of Jesus in his senior year of University. For the next ten years Mark was involved in a missional church planting movement in that area which focused on average working men and women starting bible studies and churches in homes and public meeting places. In 1998, Mark married the love of his life, Lynn and over the next few years God blessed them with three children while he worked full time as aprofessional web developer. In 2005, God called Mark to quit his job as a web developer and moved to Cochrane, Alberta to go to the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary. When he graduated with his Masters of Divinity in 2008, God lead him to serve as pastor of Towers Baptist.

Mark's desire is to help people know the joy of a relationship with Jesus Christ, to help them grow into deep relationship with the Lord where they are abiding in Christ and filled with the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control), loving others through serving others in the family of God and reaching out to share with others who don't yet know the love of Jesus.
